As Sergei mentioned, it is currently not possible to trigger a linear search movement through the UI.
You should use the SearchL function of the API. It is better if you can contact us by email at info@m.sinclairbody.com so we can help you better. We have some probing tools and add-ins we can share that could be useful for your application.
