Work with blade-serg_kub-06-15-2021

Hi to everyone!

I have robot with an external axis. When I use it with mill, everything is generated correctly: the table rotates, the robot stands still. But, if I use a blade, then with the same settings the table stands, the robot move the blade.
How can I change the settings so that the saw works the same as the mill.

Thanks in advance

Hi,

the program is so massive that I couldn´t try these changes but I think you should try to modify Axis optimization settings. You will find that in Robot Machining Project: Settings window, pic attached.

If you click the More options -button then under Recommended Presets, try choosing "Maintain Robot Reference" or "Prioritize Robot." I managed to get my external axis work correctly this way.

Hi

I know this metod and for mill this work very good, but for blade no. And don't understand why.

Thank you

I tried to (for the little time I had) and I didn't get any good result either...
I'm not sure why...

Hi

I found the reason for the incorrect generation of the program.
There are two options for machining in a circle
The first is when the tool rotates around its axis, and the point of contact of the tool with the part maintains its position.https://youtu.be/oTH855Svi50
The second is when the tool rotates around the part, without rotation around its axis, and the point of contact of the tool with the part is constantly changing.https://youtu.be/8qZ6oAXpp88
For the RoboDK to work correctly, you need to generate a program as in the first case.

Oh, that makes sense!

Great finding.
