Geometry of material deposition in 3D printing simulation-David-03-15-2021

Dear Community,

In extrusion simulation, may robodk generate filament geometry instead of sphere (attached picture) or cube geometry for material deposition?

Thank you for your reply.

Best regards,

Hi David,

If you open the Extrude macro (right-click -> Edit Python script) you can change the size, shape, and color of the extrusion simulation.
Be aware that some shapes will make your simulation really heavy really quickly.

Hi Jeremy,

Thanks for your answer. According to Extruder script the available geometries are (PARTICLE, SPHERE and CUBE). I'm wondering whether we can have filament geometry ?

Filament geometry is not an option for now.
