Imported stl objects need to be scaled-tkel-01-28-2020

When importing stl objects, the object seems to be a `point` until i scale it by an arbitrary 100x. However, I am not sure what the actual scaling value should be.

Is this a factor of how the stl was exported or how robodk imports the stl?

Is there anyway within robodk to introspect the stl to determine what the scaling factor should be?

Hi tkel,

在一个situation like that, the appropriate scaling is usually 1000 as the 3D model is in microns.
But there is no way to make sure it's the case.
To be sure, you should import 3D models with measurement in mm.
